Staff Update
Stacey Burke will now serve as Director of Communications for the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod. In this role, she will continue to oversee synod communications, branding, and digital strategy. As part of this transition, she will no longer provide oversight for the Growing Young area, allowing for greater focus on strengthening and supporting the synod’s overall communications efforts.
Says Bishop deForest: “Good communication is essential for good order, for building relationships, for spreading the gospel and equipping the saints. Stacey has already made a big difference in her role as Communications Coordinator - just look at our website, our weekly and monthly publications, and our social media presence. Behind the scenes, she has also led the way to establishing better policies and practices. I join Synod Council in celebrating her promotion to full-time Director. I also share our gratitude in the way she has made the core commitments of 'Growing Young' such a meaningful and vital pathway to becoming an even more Jesus-centered community of love, healing, and engagement for all people, and especially for youth, young adults, and young families.”
