On Saturday mornings something special is happening. As part of the feeding ministry of 6261 “Pretzel City Parish” of Reading, our congregations decided to try something new. Using seed money from a financial gift from an anonymous donor, something we are calling the Hospitality Center was born.
After the April 19 Pocono Mission District Assembly, we are excited to announce that Pastor Chris Druckenmiller was elected as the new Mission District Dean.
Each Advent season, congregations across the Lehigh Valley come together through the Lehigh Mission District Ingathering to share Christ’s love in tangible ways. Through donated personal care items, gifts, and financial support, this ministry brings hope and care to local organizations and neighbors in need. The NEPA Synod is continuing to work in partnership with the Virginia Synod to develop resources to support the daily life and ministry of congregations. The resources for this summer will invite congregations to dive deeper into the revised common lectionary texts between Sunday, May 31 and Reformation Sunday, October 25.
