MLK Day of Prayer and Service 2026

Monday January 19, 2026

We give thanks for our time together with Metropolitan Community Church of the Lehigh Valley as we gathered for the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Prayer and Service on Monday January 19.

Through music, scripture, communion, spoken reflections, and choral readings from Dr. King’s final sermon, I’ve Been to the Mountaintop, worship leaders and participants helped create a meaningful space for prayer, remembrance, and renewed commitment to justice, peace, and nonviolent action.

MCCLV and the NEPA Synod concluded their collection of non-SNAP items for families in need: 80 rolls of paper towels, 99 rolls of toilet paper, 17 bottles laundry detergent, 27 bottles dish detergent, 765 diapers and 38 packages of baby wipes.

We are so thankful for everyone who helped plan and lead this service, and for all who gathered with us in person and online. If you were unable to attend, a recording of the livestream is available on Metropolitan Community Church of the Lehigh Valley Facebook page.

Photos from the event were shared by Steve Ziminsky. Thank you!
