Connected in Christ:

Twelve Steps for the Rest of Us

What if the path to healing and discipleship could be as honest, freeing, and transformative as recovery?

This year, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod invites all congregations to join a shared journey through the Twelve Steps, reimagined as a model for spiritual growth, community connection, and faithful living.

One Step at a Time

Each month, we’ll focus on one step, reflecting deeply on the ways it speaks to both individual and congregational life.

You’ll receive:

  • The step of the month
  • A related scripture passage
  • A short reflection
  • Discussion questions for personal or group use

These resources are designed to be flexible. Use them in worship, small groups, council meetings, devotionals, or wherever your context invites engagement.

Together in Healing and Hope

This journey is about more than information; it is about transformation. Each month, you’ll also be invited to join a Zoom gathering, hosted by Pastor Tom Scornavacchi and Pastor Lauren Applegate, where people from across the synod can share stories, experiences, and encouragement.
