God's Work. Our Hands

We have a total of 12 service projects scheduled for our GWOH Service Blitz.

Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser to benefit The Kindness Project. Serving pancakes with syrup, sausage links, orange juice, coffee, tea or milk.

We are going to put together Blessing Bags filled with items for the unhoused people we encounter.

We are assembling "Jared Boxes" for our local hospital's pediatric ward.

The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit’s annual God’s Work Our Hands service project unites members of all ages to assemble care bags, quilts, and backpacks for local organizations, reflecting the congregation’s generous commitment to meeting community needs.

We are collecting cleaning supplies and filling buckets for The Rudden Family Foundation.

This year marks Lutheran Congregational Services’ 50th Anniversary, celebrated by assembling over 100 Flood Clean-Up Buckets and Women’s Hygiene Kits for neighbors in need.

Nativity will spend the day serving the community by assembling care and meal kits, filling backpacks, delivering lunches to first responders, and, after lunch, engaging in activities with residents, assisting at local schools and food pantries, and serving meals at the Allentown Rescue Mission.

Free Clothing Giveaway. Donations of clothing are being collected from 6 churches and gathered in one location. The event is open to the public.

This year, they’ll assemble Birthday Bags for P.U.M.P. Food Pantry to help families celebrate their children’s birthdays.

On September 7, our congregations will worship and picnic at Gring's Mill as we launch our God’s Work, Our Hands project to collect supplies for 40 Global Refuge Neighbor Kits, to be assembled on Reformation Sunday, October 26, at St. James, Geigertown.

St. John’s will begin with worship and a potluck, then gather in groups for service projects including lunch bags for Neighborhood House, LWR Personal Care Kits, and quilts.

St. Mark Lutheran Church has been collecting fresh fruits and vegetables for God's Work our Hands ministry and donating them to our Open Door Food Pantry.

Our congregations are coming together to worship, potluck and collect school supplies for local schools and our NEPA youth shelter.

Making cards of hope and happiness. Cards will be given to the Carbon County Senior Center in Jim Thorpe to distribute with their meals for seniors who are housebound.

We are collecting gently used clothing for Loads of Blessing, a laundromat on Linden St. in Allentown and the Valley Manor Nursing Home in Coopersburg.

Collecting gently used clothing to be shared with Laundry on Linden in Allentown for Loads of Blessings--people may come to the Laundry and take home donated clothing.

Join us for “God’s Work. Our Hands” Sunday as we support Cay Galgon Life House, a local organization serving mothers and babies in need.
