Lutheran Creation Care-Centered Worship Material
We seek to worship throughout the year so that we express our gratitude and praise to God as creator, redeemer, and sustainer. We are committed to glorify God intentionally together with all creation. In worship, we will celebrate creation, confess our sins against creation, grieve the losses of creation, and commit ourselves to care for Earth.
Creation Justice Ministries
With a little planning and a lot of passion you can do much to have an Earth Day Sunday you'll remember for years to come. You can use any of these ideas to get your congregation fired up about caring for God's creation.
2025 Creation Care-Centered Sermon
We are honored that Rev. Dr. Barbara Rossing will offer a sermon in recognition of Earth Day and relate to the lectionary readings for Sunday, April 27th. The sermon will also screen via our YouTube channel on April 22 for anyone who wants to watch it on Earth Day and beyond.
Greening Your Church Grounds for Congregations
Monday, May 5 from 7:00-8:30pm via zoom
Would your congregation like to explore sustainable alternatives for landscaping, native plantings, or other green outdoor projects? Would you like to know more about how to start a "giving garden" or pollinator garden? And would your congregation like to care for creation, starting with your church grounds and outdoor spaces?
Join the New Jersey Synod for a conversation about projects other congregations have taken on and resources you can explore!
