Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Bangor will soon engage in service work right here in our community. We are one of over 8,400 Evangelical Lutheran Church worshipping communities participating in “God’s work. Our hands.” day of service. Across the country, thousands of members will engage in service work to make a positive change in our communities, build and deepen relationships and share God’s love. We will be making Birthday Bags again for P.U.M.P. (Portland, Upper Mt. Bethel Food Pantry). Many of P.U.M.P's clients are unable to purchase a birthday cake and party accessories for their kids to have a birthday party. We're hoping our Birthday Kit with all the fixin’s will help them celebrate birthdays.  We are planning a birthday celebration on September 14th when the bags will be assembled, and a birthday party will be held.
