St. John, Mohnton, seeks a Director of Music/Organist. 15-20 hrs/wk, including 1 Sunday morning and other special services. Rodgers 2 manual organ. Position requires creativity, piano/organ proficiency, and an appreciation for a variety of musical/liturgical styles. Responsibilities include: overseeing the overall direction of music ministry, providing accompaniment for choirs, planning hymns and liturgy for worship, and developing musical participation within the congregation. Organ experience preferred, but candidates will be considered who are proficient on piano and have the desire to train on our impressive three-manual pipe organ. Responsibilities include planning hymns, liturgy and anthems for 9:30 a.m. Sunday service. Adult choir rehearses weekly September – May. 100 Folding Chairs (Metal frame with wooden seat) are available free of charge to a congregation – first come, first served for all or a portion of them; 13 collapsible social hall tables (metal frame and legs, plywood tops) are also available free (11 are 30”x 8’; 3 are 30’x6’).
