The Faith Formation Resource Team of the Northeastern PA Synod affirms the diversity of God’s people while supporting and equipping the baptized along their faith journey and helping them apply Lutheran theology to all aspects of church and daily life.
Check out some of the ways we live this out!
1. We offer a variety of learning opportunities to nurture the faith development of people in congregations, mission districts and the synod.
One program we offer is Lutheran Basics, a four-hour workshop focusing on Lutheran teachings, which we can offer as an event for a single congregation or a cluster of congregations. Another event is Learning Ministries Day, a day-long event for enrichment and Christian growth.
2. We use a variety of networking methods to connect people to learning opportunities and resources.
We offer Faith Formation E-news, a semi-monthly e-mail full of faith formation resources and information on upcoming learning events. Check out the link in the side bar to Pinterest on this page for another example of a network we use to keep people connected to theologically sound resources.
3. Assist congregations and synodical groups in applying Lutheran theology to the various ministries of the church.
Members of our team have met with congregation councils, and other interested congregational members, to look at Lutheran theology and how it is lived out in stewardship, advocacy, witnessing, service and much more.
