The Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod Essential Boundaries for Wise Leaders training program is designed to enrich both our opportunity and responsibility as leaders for Christ’s church. More than a “boundaries workshop” this time together will benefit participants in many ways.
If you have not taken part in a workshop in the last four years you need to do so in 2018. There will be a maximum of 75 at each workshop so sign up early.

Frequently asked Questions:
Do “I” need to attend? I can’t remember when I last went.
It is not feasible for us to both check the files of over 300 people and contact each individual rostered person or SALM. [Well, perhaps it’s feasible, but we’re not going to do it.] If you last attended a NEPS workshop that was four years ago, and you are due to attend again.
What if I attended a workshop held by one of our partner denominations?
Then you should have an attendance form that you can determine if it was in the past four years.
Do I need to attend if I am retired?
If you are an active leader in a congregation you DO need to attend. [In the same way, if you are in a leadership role in a congregation you should also have your background checks done. ]
Why not? Each round of workshop tries to touch on some new material. Things continue to change as we so clearly see in the news. These are important topics as we care for our congregations and communities.
To whom do I write the check?
Sorry, we failed to include this in the registration material. Please make your checks out to NEPS and put Boundary Workshop in the memo. THANKS!
Why would you turn me away if I just show up that day?
Because the last time we held these workshops many people [who would not be happy if their members did the same] showed up the day of the event. In so doing the host congregations were embarrassed to not have enough food for everyone AND the dynamics of the planned event were totally altered.
